Celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial by taking part in The American Legion’s USA 250 Challenge. Your participation, whether as an individual or part of a team, helps honor our veterans and uplift communities nationwide while promoting physical fitness, mental wellness, and community service.

St Patrick's Day Dinner

 

Please join the American Legion Field-Allen Post 148 for their annual Saint Patrick's day dinner on Saturday, March 21st from 5 PM at the Windham Veterans Center. This a s a very special dinner with all foods prepared fresh onsite. There are the traditional corned-beef (red and gray) and cabbage, as well as sides of onions, carrots, potatoes, and rutabaga. Dessert will be an 107th anniversary American Legion inspired cake. $15.00 at the door, under 12 FREE. Also 50/50 raffle.

Always the 3rd Wednesday, from 12:00 - 5:00 PM at the Windham Veterans Center

Coffee (and donuts) Socials

Every Wednesdays 9-11 AM, open to all veterans, whether you are a member of not!

At the Windham Veterans Center, 35 Veterans Memorial Drive, N. Windham. 

Doors Open at 4:00 PM, early bird at 6:10 PM, Bingo starts 6:30 PM.

Operation Ray of Light

The first meeting was held at the Windham Veterans Center on Wednesday May 17,2023, 6:30 to 8:00 PM. 

This is the first open group to be offered outside of the VA in the southern Maine area in
support of  spouses of veterans who are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder. 
This will be an open group geared towards support, resources and honoring the role of the
spouse and significant other and working to enhance the lives of their families. 
By developing connection we believe that for many, this opportunity will become a chance for
potential healing, growth and hopefully empowerment. This group is open to Veterans spouses of all eras.

Quilt Of Valor Ceremony

A Quilt of Valor was awarded to Arthur MacArthur by Gail Sakker of the American Legion Auxillary on Wednesday, February 10, 2026.

Post Commander Tom Theriault, Post Adjutant, David Tanguay presented the quilt to Arthur.
